• i was born in late ‘39 - my brain wants to go november something. i never met my father, and knew him purely through photographs and stories told by relatives.
  • i was involved in a blitz at one point - i think in ‘42? i had wandered out of where i needed to be for protection. i don’t remember much, but i remember whistling, and a loud bomb, and words over a loudspeaker i couldn’t understand.
  • i caught the scarlet fever in a blitz shelter. it made me go deaf and generally fucked with my mental state because i was so young.
  • i was in complete quarantine during my time with scarlet fever, and usually wasn't allowed outside much afterward, either; my mother was suffocating and overprotective.
    • this was both to protect me from more sickness and from an untimely death similar to the one my father suffered.
  • my issue with scarlet fever was what originally spawned my fear of doctors/hospitals/etc medical, and also what originally spawned the existence of the doctor.
  • i got a scar on my eyebrow due to the bullet-under-the-train thing.
  • while a student was getting beat in the schoolmaster’s class, they reacted with sounds of pleasure, highly exaggerated, to make him angrier. it worked.
