- ...this is where i met janice.
- at one point, i'd fallen in the grass where i was dancing, and... she helped me up. the sun rays framed her face in such a beautiful way, i felt like i'd seen an angel.
- we danced for the rest of the day. she gave me her number and went home in the evening.
- i called her very, very, very often, through telephone booth.
- i remember zoot and i going to her apartment.
- her room was very very pink and fuzzy, and i think she had two moms?
- i was very awkward around janice for a while because of how hopelessly in love with her i was heheh. i think she knew i was in love with her because she flirted with me so much
- i don't think this was the summer of love anymore but... every summer in cali was a summer of love, i think.
- i also found out my trans identity with janice. she helped me cut my hair and mess up my style.
- zoot was very surprised.
- janice also introduced the two of us to dr. teeth (leon!) at this time. he was a decent amount older than us, and i'm not sure how she knew him, but... he was very friendly.
- he was the first person i introduced myself as "floyd" to
- i don't remember how long it was until we formed the band, but i'd like to say it was a pretty small amount of time into our relationship. leon was very forward and knew we all played an instrument, so...
- we started with shitty little garage gigs, and we had like a decent amount of popularity... but it wasn't enough.
- we eventually managed to get a van and start traveling.
