A work in progress.
- Procrastination is not cool anymore. In high school, it was easy and doable. In college, it is scary and stomach-eating.
- No one really cares what you look like. So, you can dress however you would like. This can be both positive and negative.
- There are tons of guys, everywhere, but relationships aren't just going to fall into your lap. If you want them, you have to work for them.
- People will annoy you. You have to learn to deal with this.
- On Monday, you may feel like the week will be endless, but it really snaps right past.
- You need to be prepared to walk, a lot. 80% of your life will be spent on walking at college.
- Pay attention in class. Professors can smell your daydreams, and they will pounce on you (learned from sad experience).
- Sleep is very necessary, but it can be made up.
- You don't have time--you need to make time (for pretty much everything).
- Even if you did well effortlessly in high school, you still need to study and stay caught up. College requires more effort.
- Cooking is vital. Food is important. It's something I took for granted before.
- You will miss your friends from home, but this is something you have to deal with or you will drown. There are plenty of new friends to be had, trust me.
