Ran is pretty indifferent to whether people are taller or shorter than her. With how much she jumps around and hugs people, any height is almost the same for her. She likes, however, that Tamaki has just the perfect height for hugs. If he just hugged her back, his shoulders would be at just the perfect position to be warm without being in the way.
