  • First of all, it must be situated in a beautiful neighbourhood. Maybe England?
  • The first thing i want to see when I wake up is the first rays of sunshine floating over the hills
    • this means: massive garden
    • but not lonely, I want people around me
    • by the way: a massive garden doesn't automaticly mean a massive house. I get freaked out if I have to stay home alone in a small house, let alone a small castle/farm!
  • I want a veranda at the back of my house, so I can read books there, my future child on my lap or playing in the garden with our labrador puppy. Also useful for drinking late-night tea or watching the stars with my great husband.
    • My husband will never get boring so we can sit there every night. He wears his glasses (he looks handsome with them, picture Jude Law!) and plays guitar or makes a painting of the beautiful landscape.
      • My son looks just like him and sits at his feet as my husband plays guitar
    • Oh, and the veranda must be covered with wind chimes, one from each country i visited
    • I want a small lake in my backyard, surrounded by trees so that it's like you're in the woods. You should see the stars from there at night and the temprature should be cool to swim
  • Let's go inside: the kitchen!
    • My kitchen must be huge. I want space for every kitchen utensil you can imagine, but that it still stays organised.
    • I want all Jamie Oliver cookbooks
    • I want a massive cutting surface and a big stove
    • in the kitchen I want all kinds of herbs growing; it looks nice, it smells great and if you need something you can just cut if off
    • I want a zillion mugs
    • the table must be expandable: if people want to join dinner they will be more than welcome
    • and candles should be placeble everywhere!
  • I want a room stuffed with bookcases and 2 big couches
    • and a fireplace!
    • the bookcases shouldn't be too high, I want to reach everything without standing on a chair (1.66 metres isn't that tall). On top of the bookcases I want 'fake books' so that it still looks full
    • in between the books, I want souvenirs of travels I made
    • it musn't be very light, but comfy-light and still light enough to read without hurting your eyes
    • I want the floor covered with rugs, and my dog lying on there without shitting the whole floor
    • and on one wall an immense, old worldmap (brown, lightbrown i think)
  • The tv is in the living room and I don't mind the size but I want it surrounded by dvds (like Amanda's house in the Holiday)
  • I want the biggest bed possible, soft and comfortable and with a small table next to it with a notebook (in case something sneaks into my head and i'm not motivated enough to get out of bed) and enough space to put my books and a small lamp there
    • of course, I want my husband next to me to keep me warm
    • and to tell stories to me till deep in the night
    • and when I fall asleep, he'll take me in his arms and he'll fall asleep too
      • *sigh*
  • I don't want an extremely big bathroom, but I want a vintage bathtub and loads of soap, douchegel and shampoo in the bathroom
    • and, of course, a nice shower
    • and a organised basin of course
  • Because my concentration-level sucks, I'll need a studyroom
    • with a extraordinarily tidied-up desk
    • and loads of post-its, highlighters and ordners within armlength
  • Also, I want a huge atelier
    • since my husband is a great artist, we need a room with a view of the best part of the garden so he can paint
    • you can also make sculptures there, if you need to
  • And I want a room with a massive piano where I can spend whole days playing the piano
    • and a violin (which I can play great, ofcourse)
    • my husband will join me with his acoustic guitar
  • I want an old car, but one which runs well and isn't bad for the environment
    • but I'll still be in love with my secondhand bikes which I paint myself (in the atelier!) and I'll take my boy for a ride a lot to show him all the great bits of nature there is
  • We'll have loads of surfboards and skateboards (for my kid) and we'll travel a lot. I want to see at least half of my book 1,000 places to see before you die
  • I don't want to move in my life, but my house to change with me but still stay the same. I want to say that I have a home, not just a place to live. I want to live and die there, and be happy.
