- it was acceptable to sit down in the floor of any store and read
- i didn't have to drive, which meant i could read in the car
- playing dress up (although i still do)
- singing in the car with my mom and sister
- my dad carrying me to the sofa in the morning and putting on cartoons while i slowly made the transition from asleep to awake.
- family vacations (especially Myrtle Beach)
- recess
- the possibilities were endless when it came to imagination. one day we were detectives, the next archaeologists, and occasionally pirates
- anything with lisa frank on it
- rooms seemed so much bigger
