to catch up on

  • Gunnerkrigg Court
  • Subnormality
  • Always Raining Here
  • Idolon
  • Shadoweyes
  • Validation
  • Rain

to read

  • Redlands
  • The Pulse (Jessica Jones).
  • Persepolis.
  • Saga.
  • Hellboy: The Chained Coffin and Other Stories.
  • The Scott Pilgrim series.
  • Aliens (after movies).
  • Watchmen (stop if I don't like after second chapter).
  • V for Vendetta.
  • The Sandman (a few 'scareh' scenes early on - largely to paint the protagonist as more threatening so that later on we find he's a lot more kinder and thoughtful - but it's purely fantasy. You saw me reading it).

check these to see if i like

  • Preacher, if you don't get disgusted easily (all shock content, but no scareh, and so, you might not like it, but give it a try).
  • Maus.
  • Black Hole ('Ice' with sex).
  • Y: The Last Man
  • Transmetropolitan
  • Batman: Year One
  • Batman: Hush
  • Understanding Comics.
  • From Hell (too creepy, but again, you might find it objectionable since it's based on the Jack the Ripper murders and a lot of it is from the mindset of the killer who, as you would expect from Jack the Ripper, insane, misogynistic and obsessive over the occult and Freemasonry).
  • The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

read

  • Alias (Jessica Jones)
