  • (26) Leon: The Professional (1994) dir. Luc Besson, France crime, drama, thriller (Netflix; Leon is one of my favourite films ever since I was a kid, glad I decided to rewatch it after getting a plant that reminded me of Leon's plant)
  • (20) Paths Through Utopias (2011) dir. Isabelle Frémeaux, UK, France documentary (part of Focus Atelier, seen with Matt and Sorana @ZUG.zone, similar to the first one - not in theme, but in lack of unity and subject and all that)
  • (13) Our School (2011) dir. Mona Nicoara, Miruna Coca-Cozma, Romania, USA, Switzerland documentary (part of Focus Atelier, seen with Matt @ZUG.zone, it was heartbreaking and made me hate the world, but it was a great)

February 2016

  • (19) Carol (2015) dir. Todd Haynes, UK, USA drama, romance (oh, the directing was lovely and so intimate, I am surprised it's not on the Best Picture list, and it's not just the story... some shots actually reminded me of films made in that era which was a nice homage)

  • (12) Joy (2015) dir. David O. Russell, USA drama, comedy (IMDb says it's also a comedy, sure it has some funny moments but... anyway, the story is inspiring and really nice, something about the directing/editing felt a bit off; at the cinema on my own)
  • (6) Sisters (2015) dir. Jason Moore, USA comedy (cinema with Sorana, it was funny, I like Tina and Amy so that's why I went to see a comedy and it was really enjoyable - I even laughed out loud!)
