Emerging singly as a hollow stem with embedded silicates. At nodes single whorl of small, bract like leaves. Apical strobilus of sexual structures. Non Branching.
Much as above, but branching, and often a bit thinner.
Not a moss, having a dainty lignified stem with spirally inserted small awl shaped leaves and small root/rootlike structures on the ventral side of that stem. Embedded strobili at squared of apices contain cone like nooks for micro and mega spore production.

- Frulania has heart shaped under-leaves that are as transparent and fragile looking as glass, but survive in the gutter nest to my house
- Lunularia has a name that sounds vaguely like a silvery moon princess, but is currently out competing many other species like her
- Pellia really believes it is a plant, even without leaves or stems to speak of
- All the leafy liverworts captivate me to a time expensive degree
