• demunda (daey·muun·dah)
  • "demons" are the natives of demunda, much like olympians are the natives of olympus. these are all, well, i'd say parallel worlds, but they're not. it would seem they are, as there's no actual distance aliens need to travel between worlds (thus making it seem like they just stepped between planes). this is due to a new form of space travel discovered on "progressive" worlds which allows space travel to "points of interest," points where space has a tendency to bunch up and fold in on itself. earth is one such point.
• angels
  • "i'm not saying {angels} don't exist, i'm just saying i've never met one... out of all the worlds we've colonized, we only ever encountered resistance by one peoples: the olympians. and we weren't even bothering them... they fought to protect their precious disciples. {humans}."
  • the alastors are the descendants of greeks who worshiped the olympians. the first, pandora, was molded to the gods' designs in order to protect humanity from the demons, who brought fire to man. so, in a biblical sense, i suppose that makes them angels.

okay, so what is it?

• an easy, YA read lacking substantial character development, an original plot, and a consistent narrator.

well, what's this unoriginal plot then?

• an angsty teenager (harry potter) suffering abandonment issues due to his older sister and father just up and disappearing one day (charmed), lives alone with his slightly unbalanced mother. he then finds out he is suppose to fight demons b/c of destiny and shit (buffy). oh and btws protagonist, your dad didn't leave; he is currently imprisoned in hell because he was kidnapped, you self-righteous prick (supernatural).

you know, planning your novel will stifle your creative juices?

• you know, no one asked you? some of us are rambleers. like, "let me tell you about this one time; well, it wasn't actually only once, because it happened a couple of times, but there was this one time in particular..." ramblers. we need outlines. and structure. and usually adderall. but mostly outlines.
