Oh, I had no idea this list was gonna be this long, and still I'm not nearly finished. Think I'm gonna leave it at this for now.

  • Trip around Europe, by car, visiting like 10 countries or something
    • We were three young kids in the backseat of a small car, with luggage and pillows and stuff all around us, driving several hours every day. I cannot understand how that ever worked out, and how we didn't start world war 3. My parents were crazy to even think of going on this trip, but they say it went remarkably good.
    • I remember this car queue were there'd been an accident. We were stuck for a good while. And outside there were like "millions" of fireflies.
    • I remember a hail storm as well, were we where standing under a roof with a hell of a lot of people.
    • I remember in one of the big cities in Germany, we were crossing a road. The rest of my family were running over the street, leaving me behind, all alone. I didn't dare running because of the cars approaching. A lady started talking to me in German, and I didn't understand anything. I was terrified, but the lady helped me cross the street and get to my parents.
  • Gran Canaria, Spain
    • Three young kids, with chicken pox! One kid had it on the way to Gran Canaria, one while we were still down there, and the last one on the way home. Thank god my parents had the help of my grand parents to take care of us!
    • I remember dancing with my grandfather and having the time of my life. I was so proud when dancing with him.
    • I remember going to the store with my grandfather, getting a watermelon popsicle.
    • I remember my mom having the hangover of a life time that one day.
  • Tenerife, Spain
    • I remember going to the sleeping volcano and loving it. I've always been fascinated of volcanoes. I only wished we could see even more of it, but we stayed at the tourist observation spot.
    • I remember eating every single day at the same place. 5 people ordering the same boring food every day. 5 chickens with fries and 5 cokes, please.
    • I remember that one day us girls tried pizza instead of the chicken. It was lousy, with hardly any filling. To this day it's the lousiest pizza I've ever eaten.
    • I remember us going to the city next to where we were staying, and when we were there we met that one guy from the restaurant, and he recognized us.
    • I remember my younger brother having a hizzy fit because he didn't get this weird bottle with colorful sand.
  • Numerous car trips to the west coast of Norway
    • I hated these trips. Going to sit in a car for several hours each day, just driving around watching beautiful nature and huge waterfalls are anything but exciting for a young kid.
    • I remember having my walkman and wanting to listen to music, but my dad always complained about my music. So we had a music fight, where I started listening to music, he turned up the volume on his music, then I turned up my volume, then he did again, and well, I always lost seeing as the car stereo was a tad stronger than my cheap headset.
  • Numerous trips with the Denmark ferry
    • Going with the Denmark ferry is very common in Norway, because of the tax free shopping. The trip pays itself with all you can save on buying alcohol, cigarettes, candy and in Denmark; food.
    • I remember always eating breakfast in Denmark, outside. Always buying bread rolls and really large ham at the groceries store and then find somewhere to sit and eat.
    • I remember this really cheap store with all kinds of weird things, and buying so many things.
    • I remember how I was in heaven in the tax free stores because of all the candy! Large bags of candy!
    • I remember getting chocolate slices for having on the bread. Not like nutella, but like slices of chocolate. Only, I didn't get mom to buy them to actually have them on the bread, I wanted to eat it like chocolate!
    • I remember getting home to Norway late at night, and when leaving the ferry we would be hit by this horrible smell. (There's this factory in the city where the ferry docked, which produces the most horrible smell)
  • Denmark
    • I remember the cabin being filled with earwigs. They would come out from hiding whenever we were outside, so when we got "home" they would be crawling all over the place. My mom had to check my bed thoroughly every night before I dared getting in.
    • I remember mom making us a new kind of dinner that was an instant hit. It was only small bacon pieces and small sausages cooked together.
    • I remember going for swims with my dad and sister. Having dad with us on something like that was very fun and important to me.
    • I remember losing control in the large waves of water, being dragged under and feeling the panic of not being able to breath. I was washed on shore pretty quick, so I was okay, but very panic stricken!
    • I remember a car trip, in a really bad storm. Pitch black outside, rain pouring down and the wind was so bad that my dad talked about it being scary to drive, he could feel the car moving in the wind. It was out on the open road, nothing but flat land around us, our car was the only one on that road as well.
