  • Coming home after camp to my newly-painted and remodeled High School bedroom (no longer The Little Mermaid themed).
  • Competing to see who could read the newest Harry Potter book the fastest.
  • Deep turquoise on my Mother.
  • Discovering magnolia trees.
  • Discovering my talent for language.
  • Doing tie-dye with my family.
  • Fairy tea.
  • Falling deeply in love at the age of twelve, a love that would last until we were sixteen and seventeen respectively.
  • Getting a dreamcatcher from one of my Godmothers.
  • Getting into a hose fight with Dad when we should have been gardening (I ruined his shoes.)
  • Hogball with my family and friends.
  • KiKi's Delivery Service.
  • Mom's amazing services.
  • My bass ocarina and my friend's soprano ocarina - the moment I lost mine and he broke his.
  • My Grandmother's orchids (and how badly I want to take care of some as well.)
  • Neopets.
  • Planting sunflowers in the backyard with Mom and watching as they followed the dipping sun.
  • Playing in the creek - and that time I found an animal skull under the water (I freaked out).
  • Playing Pokemon with my cousins.
  • Printing pictures from the anime InuYasha and Sailor Moon off of the computer and making collages and scrapbooks - and how it made everyone in the class make fun of me for being a lesbian.
  • Reading to the other kids.
  • Running through sprinklers.
  • Saint Esther, Saint Francis of Assisi and Ruth.
  • Taking Dad's shoes and hiding them in my toy kitchen oven because I didn't want him to go to work - and the fact that he totally caught me.
  • That spot in the woods with the bending tree that my best friends and I spent time in when we were taken to the park - and the time that the bending tree broke under our weight.
  • That time that two of my cousins wanted to dye my hair blonde using their Mother's dye kit.
  • The carousel horse that used to be in the local plaza that would entice me to go shopping with my Mom more often.
  • The cherry tree in our neighborhood and the blossoms come spring.
  • The Marauders.
  • The Spice Girls and trying to imitate them (obviously).
  • Thinking every painting of every beautiful girl was Mom as a little girl.
  • Time spent mailing drawings and letters to friends in other towns.
  • Waking up all-too early to eat grapefruit for the first time with my neighbor and her daughter.
  • Writing screenplays.
