Fears to Fathom by rayll
- Home Alone
- Norwood Hitchhike
- Carson House
- Ironbark Lookout
- Woodbury Getaway
- Scratch Creek (TBR 2026)
this list is not meant to be a 'callout' to any game inspired after F2F. i love F2F and i watched gameplays of many of these and liked it as well. i just want to catalogue.
some people on the internet have been very harsh on developers that have taken inspiration on F2F just because they are "copies". but no one has taken into consideration that:
- unless rayll himself comes forward and do something about these copies it means that he is not bothered by it at all;
- majority of copies DO CREDIT F2F as their inspiration. and no one is playing these games unaware of the similarities. the moment you see these games' posters with the red and yellow titles, you CAN'T possibly think you can trick someone that you didn't know it was inspired by F2F.
- 'everything's remix', we copy each other, without copies no other original product or style can be created. going into devs' personal pages and cursing them out for the copies won't change a thing...
the F2F copy bingo! since not every VHS game is a F2F reference:
- red and yellow titles and subtitles
- 'the bold font' for titles, 'vcr osd mono' for in-game text, and 'times new roman' for game intro
- cryptic titles that involve something morbid or to be feared (terrors to unveil, tales beyond the tomb, uncanny tales)
- inspired by true events / or stories that take place irl. although we don't know if all of them are true or not (and even 'ironbar lookout' from F2F itself is not a true story), we do know that tales beyond the tomb is inspired by true serial killers' stories.
- any of those simulators: peeing, eating, driving
- hiding in the closet
- mic/player sound mechanic

Tales Beyond the Tomb by 616 Games/Rafael Braza
Other games by the developer: Trash Horror Collection (7 volumes)
- Pineville Night Stalker (Golden State Killer)
- The Farm's Secret (Beauty Snapshot Killer)
- The Last Vigil (The Manson Family)
- White Silence (Dyatlov Pass) <-- not inspired by a serial killer story but a very interesting theme still! my favorite of TBTT
- Route 86
Within of Static by 616 Games/Rafael Braza
True Nightmare by FrostFoxStudio
Terrors to Unveil by Psycho
Other games by the developer: Honey Are You There?, The Whistle, The Jester.
Crime Detective by Wizard Team <-- the least similar to F2F out of these. the story looks a mix of Disturbia (2007) and F2F: Home Alone. a downside? has AI-generated content. but at least it's signaled.
Games by Gemezl <-- their games are made in VHS-style, much like F2F, but the menu game is also similar to F2F. Gemzl only tried short games with very simple dynamics but they're enjoyable nonetheless.
- Missing Hiker
- Mimic Search
Uncanny Tales by VYASTUDIO <-- the best graphics out of every game in the list (including F2F).
- 1992 (the antagonist is named after a known russian serial killer)
- Cold Road
Games by Zestosyt
- Lost in Darkness
- Night Watch at Precint 13
- Hillside Arcade
- Out of the Dark
- Road of Fear
