- i'm always happy when i am surrounded by water. i think i am a mermaid or i was a mermaid. the ocean makes me feel really small and it puts my whole life into perspective. it reminds me 'okay, i am this very little piece of this huge earth' and it humbles you, and it grounds you and... it- it makes me feel almost like i've been baptized and i am born again when i get out of the ocean. am i the same beyoncé? absolutely not.
- being a young woman, i wanna set the example that it's possible for us to own our own businesses, and own our own record labels. and sometimes we don't reach for the stars, sometimes we are satisfied with what people tell us we're supposed to be satisfied with, and i'm just not going for it.
