• You are in charge of your own life.
  • Don't live a life on your knees.
  • Choose those who choose you.
  • Work with others instead of working against them.
  • If you don't like it, change it.
  • People are way more focused on themselves than on you.
  • Mistakes. Fucking. Happen. Learn from them.
  • You can't predict or prepare for every problem. Some problems won't have a solution.
  • You have a say. Use your voice even if it shakes!
  • Have confidence within yourself. Fake it until you make it.
  • No one can make you feel badly unless you let them.
  • Brush off the little things. Ask yourself if you'll remember this two months from now. Two years?
  • You aren't required to be nice but you'll win more over with honey than with vinegar.
  • Be present in your daily life. Don't wish it away. Try to live for more than just the weekends. Time is fleeting.
  • If not now, then when?
  • Always reward kindness from others. Do acts of daily kindness yourself.
  • Kill 'em with kindness.
  • Document the good moments. Savor them and truly feel them while they're happening. Try to forget the bad ones.
  • Being uncomfortable means you are growing. Thrive on being uncomfortable.
  • Keep pushing. Try your hardest, even on the little things.
  • Give where you can.
  • Breathe. Think before you act. Meditate before you decide.
  • The most important race is the one you run with yourself. Don't bother comparing yourself to others.
  • There will always be someone smarter, prettier, funnier, kinder. Learn your strengths/gifts and be appreciative of what you DO have.
  • Other people are just doing their best. They have lives as complex as you do. Try not to take offense to their slights.
  • Empathize. Be understanding.
  • Not everyone will like you. Their opinion of you is their own business.
  • Apologize when you are wrong. Learn to forgive without an apology.
  • Appreciate those who are willing to help and be patient with that they offer.
  • Your perception is unique to you and you alone.
  • Choose to face things head on. Don't ignore what you can fix.
  • Humor is important. Make people laugh when you can. Life is a little less miserable when you're laughing about it.
  • Music is important too. Sometimes just listening to it will improve your mood. I dare you to listen to "Got To Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye and not fucking dance.
  • Don't lose sleep over things you cannot control. And no, you cannot control everything.
  • Embrace who you are. Learn new things about yourself through new experiences and new encounters.
  • Try new things because you will regret it if you don't.
