• first airplane ride: when I was 5, with my mom to visit my dad after we moved away
  • first airplane ride alone: again to visit my dad after turning 6, which was the youngest age the airline let kids fly alone
  • first visit to a foreign country: probably a cruise to Tallinn, Estonia when I was little
  • first vacation abroad: the Canary Islands in 2009
  • first favorite color: orange, for some reason (one of the very few colors I now hate)
  • first hobby: bandy, unless you count the musical play school for kindergarteners I went to
  • first career aspiration: a kennel owner
  • first film seen in a movie theater: Ice Age, I think
  • first kiss: ..at 16, with a girl friend for fun
  • first kiss that actually meant something: also at 16, with my first boyfriend. it was bad
  • first alcoholic drink: I've probably tasted sips of all kinds of wines and beers during my childhood from mommy's glass but the first actual one was, surprise, at 16, a...gold long drink? whatever it is in English, anyway it was delicious
  • first time: I was working for a finnish liiga hockey team, ended up very drunk at their bronze medal party and lost it to one of the players in the hot tub. (to be fair I was 20, was asked and drunk me decided I'd avoided it long enough. not my proudest moment but I don't regret it)
  • first job: well, we had a week-long job thing in 8th grade and I was at a store that sells sports equipment. the first job I actually got paid for would be a summer job this summer ('13), working for the city mowing lawns and stuff in parks.
  • first thing I learned to cook: chicken risotto at 11. and for the next five years it was the only food I knew how to make
  • first cell phone: a Sony Ercisson the size of a brick, with a screen twice as wide as it was long
  • first major purchase (with my own money): my couch. the most expensive material thing I've ever bought/had bought for me, so luckily it's also my favorite piece of furniture I've ever had
  • first memory (that's not from a photo): I remember very specifically like, the pattern of my mom's bedspread from our apartment and my ice cream birthday cake from when I was four. First ~active memory would be doing a thing on my fifth or sixth birthday that nobody else knows about.
  • first ticket: got caught on a speed camera a month into getting my license, going 80 on a road that for some intersections goes down to 60. I did not see a 60 sign on that particular one and I maintain it is because there was not one. I might be wrong.
