- the soft lace of my baby blanket
- racing home to the tv after korean school to watch ygo
- the clicking sound of unhooking my retainer in my mouth
- mashing maneul for umma when she made kimchi
- my lips turning blue from a ring pop i got before mass and unnie demanding gum from one of the oppas so that i wouldn't go into mass with a blue mouth
- pretending to be asleep in the car so appa would carry me inside the house
- umma teaching me how to make flower rings
- the long car rides--- there were so many
- always staring out the window and making up stories in my head to pass the time
- that feeling of absolute delight & excitement when i saw d in my korean school classroom
- getting hyper off of peanut butter
- the school nurse who was super apologetic about having to undo my braids when we were getting checked for lice
- unnie and my cousins trying to teach me how to ride a bike without training wheels
- begging for (and actually getting) a life sized barbie
- watching a building burn down
- having no school on thursdays in kindergarten
- and therefore having to wait for d to come back from school before being able to play
- meeting my first crush at pre-k summer camp
- conveniently forgetting about our 20 min limit on phone calls with d
- thinking i looked like a poodle after my first pama
- so much anxiety over everything and nothing
- it makes so much sense in retrospect
- asking umma to keep my little kid bed in case i got a younger sibling and her saying no bc i wasn't going to have any younger siblings
- except i have 2 now so the jokes on her
- the "i like you" note i got from mm
- getting grass stains all over my easter dress and stockings
- crying at my first sleepover and d reading me books until i felt better
