 Senbatsu / General Election / Senbatsu Sousenkyo / Single Senbatsu Election
- The SNH48 Senbatsu Election is an annual event where fans can vote for their favorite SNH48, BEJ48, GNZ48, SHY48, and CKG48 members, akin to a popularity contest. The members who receive the most votes are announced on the day of the election, but votes are submitted beforehand. The first half is a concert, the last hour are when the results are announced.
- Currently, the members who have the most votes are then grouped into:
- Top Girls (#1~#16)
- Undergirls (#17~#32)
- Next Girls (#33~#48)
- Future Girls (#49~#66)
- Each of these four groups releases their own song and music video for the following EP (single).

 Request Time / B30 / Best 30 / B50 / Best 50
- The Request Time is an annual event where fans can vote for their favorite SNH48, BEJ48, GNZ48, SHY48, or CKG48 song.
- The 30-50 songs who receive the most votes are announced on the day of the event, but votes are submitted beforehand.
- The song who receives the most number of votes amongst all and land up as #1 receives an MV featuring the chosen girls/or team who performed the song.

Center :
- The term Center is usually used to describe the main member in a single's senbatsu.
- The 'center' gets center position in the formation of the members, and also gets most media exposure for that single.
- The term is also used for centers from B-Sides and stage songs.
Concurrent Position :
- A Concurrent Position (兼任, Kennin) is a position where a member of SNH48, GNZ48, SHY48, or CKG48 becomes a member of two different groups and/or teams at the same time.
- e.g.
- Li YuQi is originally in Team SII, now she has a concurrent position in Team FT as well

SNH48 Team Shuffle was a Team Shuffle (read about what a team shuffle is here) that happened at the SNH48 REQUEST TIME 4th Edition BEST 50 Concert on February 3, 2018
- The first and only team shuffle within SNH48GROUP
- Team XII was disbanded
- Team FT members were introduced for the first time
- All teams appointed new captains and co-captains (except Team FT)
Reasons for team shuffles are usually for promotional purposes, but some believe the tension between former NII Member (now HII Member) Li YiTong and NII Member Huang TingTing were the cause of the SNH48 Team Shuffle. - On June 9, 2016, AKB48 cut ties partnership with SNH48, after SNH48 was violating a contract with creating and debuting their own sister groups: Beijing's BEJ48 and Guangzhou's GNZ48.
- On June 10, 2016, SNH48 management side insisted that they were an independent group from AKB48, they only have technical cooperation.
- On the same day, AKB48 removed Suzuki Mariya's concurrent position with SNH48, and SNH48-related materials were removed from JKT48's website.
- It was occured just before SNH48 3rd Senbatsu Election. Following this, SNH48 removed all information from AKB48 and its sister groups from its website.

- The SNH48 Fashion Awards is an annual event where participating members from SNH48, BEJ48, GNZ48, SHY48, and CKG48 walk the runway.
- Senbatsu Top Girls and Undergirls perform their respective singles of the year.
- Fan votes and professional ratings of judges decide 7 girls to be in the generational sub-unit Style7 for that year.
