I am currently in Destin, Florida, vacationing with my family, and here are some things I've noticed (good and um-what? things.)
- Palm trees! Everywhere. I made a mental note to myself that every time I see a palm tree, I give my boyfriend a mental hug. :)
- Tattoo parlors- with awesome designs on the windows. I've only seen one tattoo laser removal place once though. Eenteresting.
- The beach is beautiful, especially at dawn.
- Jellyfish, when upon the beach, swell up and look like clear blue-tinted minature balloons.
- Seagulls are comical to watch strut about, and even funnier to watch run and take off flying.
- The hotels here are HUGE. And very thematically decorated- lots of sandy and sunset-y colors.
- Beach department stores! They don't have those in the Midwest where I'm from.
- Seafood markets- an part of a market I usually skim by but now regard with curiousity. Obviously always fresh!
- Back in the Midwest, most restaurants that I go to don't add fish to their salads, but here, it's a staple. Haven't had any yet though.
- Ice-skating rink in a tent! :D
