I'm trying to cut down significantly what I bring this year to Georgetown. My room had a lot of stuff in it last year, much of it I didn't even use. For instance, I had a lot of food, but I was on the meal plan. By not having a minifridge, I resist the temptation to buy food. For the weekends I can use my boyfriend's fridge but if I eat 3 meals a day at the cafeteria, that leaves me 2 on the weekends. I wake up at ten, eat lunch, go to work, and then go to dinner, where I can eat some canned soup. Same thing the next day.
- one duffel bag of clothes including generic T-shirts, tank tops, jeans, skirts, socks, underwear, bras, two pairs of leggings, and my fencing wear, including my mask.
- One pair of black flip-flops, one pair of black suede boots, one pair of pink tennis shoes.
- Fun stuff- my fencing sabre, my ping-pong paddles, posters for the wall, a swimsuit. I might try to see if I can cram in some oil pastels and chalk pastels for art. It might go in my carry on.
- Toiletries- toothpaste, toothbrush, green hair dye, conditioner, hair brush, shampoo, bobby pins.
- Schoolbooks (just my textbooks, no fun reading), pencils, pens, paper.
- electronics- my laptop, my printer, my power strip, my iPod and 2 pairs of headphones.
