GENRE: dystopian fiction, (political) satire, fable
NOTES
- i find myself making it almost a game of pointing out the manipulation tactics of napoleon and his "goons," e.x. the gaslighting, rewriting or complete omission of previous rules, the logical loops and fallacies weaponized.
- i also find myself, more depressingly, seeing very clearly other real parallels.
- the way in which its written feels not very overwhelming but not underwhelming either. i feel its a good book for me to pick up again after falling out of the habit of reading, not boring in its language and still mentally stimulating while staying rather simple and easy to understand.
- those poor animals
