• i find the main character so interesting. his aloofness is so fascinating and his reactions to very emotionally heavy moments is very intriguing.
• mersault's willingness to defend his friend raymond when he doesn't seem to actually feel very strongly for his situation is interesting.
• it seems the only things monsieur mersault is very concerned about are immediate urges and irritations, like lust, sleepiness, hunger, etc. he only ever feels a sense of urgency when he's feeling bothered.
• this book is amazing as a palette cleanser after my last book
• new favorite book
