Projections are when individual projects their own problems unto an outsource most likely to be another individual, such as a projector without the source the image doesn't form or appear.

• Projections can be:
• Positive
  • +you idolize a person because they have something/trait you may want
  • ~ you hate a person because they have something/trait you may want
• Negative
  • ~ you vilify a person because they have a trait you don't like in yourself
  • +you idolize a person because they have a trauma/control over a trait you possess (you want to love that part of you).

note: this doesn't mean good or bad, this is an immature way to deal with one's own problems.
