    • 51 & 64 episodes each (english dub is better)
    • Ed (smoll shrimp boy) and his baby brother Al (big tin man) do alchemy things, emotional distress, dogs, and a genuine good time are just a bonus
  • Baccano!
    • 13 episodes (english dub is the BEST)
    • an achronological journey with boston accents, trains, immortality and an unexpected twist! this show is incredibly dark and fairly bloody, so beware
  • Soul Eater
    • 51 episodes (english dub is better)
    • people are weapons, the devil has a son, and friendship is magic. the ending is frustrating, but the characters are amazing, so it's okay
  • Angel Beats!
    • 13 episodes (haven't watched the dub)
    • this show is so funny you'll cry, sometimes from laughing, sometimes because you're actually SO DAMN SAD. one of the only anime that has ever made me cry so
  • Hunter x Hunter (2011)
    • 148 episodes (no english dub)
    • adventure, friendship, and classic dbz combat--it can't get any better. i have adopted the 2 main heroes as my own kids
  • Haikyuu!!
    • 25 episodes / 25 episodes (no english dub)
    • volleyball and cute boys that deserve happiness, that's all. all the characters are truly loveable and you end up cheering for them as if they were a real team
  • Erased / Boku dake ga Inai Machi
    • 12 episodes (no english dub)
    • !! tw for child abuse !! a really, really amazing and beautiful anime. you really, really root for characters; they're so real and relatable, and you just want everyone to be happy. it's mystery mixed with supernatural and it's a great story of self-realization. another show that made me cry. i can't stress how amazing this one is!!!
  • Durarara! (x2Shou, x2Ketsu)
    • 24+ episodes; there's like 3 seasons (english dub is better)
    • basically what happens if you bring "trust no bitch" to the streets of japan--particularly ikebukuro. the cutest and most normal relationship involves a dullahan and a backdoor doctor, and if that doesn't say anything about this show, then you're in for a whirlwind of fun

  • Monthly Girls' Nozaki-Kun / Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun - smoll teenage girl has a crush on a shoujo manga mangaka who happens to be a highschooler that doesnt realize her romantic advances
  • Nabari no Ou - ninjas, immortal people, and a simple okonomikayaki chef. don't forget the bonito flakes!!
  • Jellyfish Princess / Kuragehime - smoll, nerdy girl meets a crossdresser who helps her make fashion inspired by jellyfish
  • Blue Exorcist / Ao no Exorcist - satan has a son and he's smoll and angry
  • Psycho-Pass - violence, sadness, cool tech and blood. basically "what kind of fucked up futuristic society is in store for us!", the anime
  • Black Butler / Kuroshitsuji (skip the second season, just watch the first and the Circus Arc) - a demon butler and a privileged, pain in the ass 12-year-old noble clean up england's fuck-ups
  • No.6 - one of the protagonists is literally named rat
  • Mirai Nikki - hahahahHAHAHAHAHAHHA
  • Hyouka - detectives and ice cream. implied romance, but it's also as dry as a board. i fuckin love it anyway
  • Kill la Kill - scissors are deadly
  • Zankyou no Terror / Terror in Resonance - tokyo's attacked by terrorists that only want to be happy
  • Seraph of the End - vampires and demons meet a little shit and a pretty boy
  • Ouran High School Host Club - OOOOOOOOHHHHH MYYYY GOOOOOD
  • Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt - i'm sorry
  • Noragami - *aggressively adopts a war god*
