- ✔ Pacific Rim (7/10! I enjoyed this movie a lot. Maybe not the best story, but for me Mako was my favorite character and Raleigh was likeable. The robots were amazing & dumb & so was the whole movie. haha great)
- ✔ Dial M for Murder (9/10 very entertaining, really interesting twist on a standard murder plot...WE KNEW the murder the whole time...cool!)
- ✔ Clueless (8/10 really surprised me, because i actually loved it - it was charming, the acting got better as the movie went on, and it was actually very heart-felt. also paul rudd & alicia silverstone are cuties. Plus i love a good Jane Austen adaption)
- ✔ Vertigo (4/10 Wow. I didn't really like this film at all unfortunately - there were a few points in the plot that made it very interesting, but overall it was very long and uncomfortable, Stewart's character was not at all sympathetic in my mind but a creepy old dude. yup. I know it's supposed to be pretty deep, so i should probably look that up later. just made me grumpy. :/)
- ✔ Pride & Prejudice & Zombies (5/10 wasnt that great but i wasn't expecting too much anyway. it was p & p so obviously i loved it in that sense, matt smith was great as mr. collins, there were some interesting fight choreography the zombie baby was freaky, it was very cliche but it was ok. haha it was just like watching any pride & prejudice movie but there were zombies. lol. bu thtat's the point. yay for adaptions.)
- ✔ Wonder Woman (9/10 WHAT A GOOD. i loved it. the beginnibng was a bit slow but man there some really funny parts there too, Chris Pine & Gal Gadot had awesome chemistry. I fell in love with Wonder Woman and i was surprised i liked all the supporting characters, especially Steve. The fighting was amazing & I loved the slow-motion PHEW wonder woman is awesome. the theme music is just awesome. The twists were interesting and I didn't see them coming. All around AMAZING and WONDERFUL. would see again in a heartbeat)
- ✔ Kubo and the Two Strings (8/10 I was surprised! I liked this a lot. This movie has a lot of stuff going for it, mostly it's beautiful-ness. It's really something! And a lot of it is STOP MOTION. crazy, man. very cheesy at times but still really funny at a lot of places. Plus a very different kind of storyline, so that was interesting. Loved the ending song by Regina Spektor.)
- ✔ The Mummy (1999) (8/10 Super funny movie, i liked how it didn't take itself too seriously. Brendon Frasier and Rachel Weisz are great so I didn't even mind the cheesy ending. Definitely not Lawrence of Arabia but just as enjoyable. Plus it didn't give me existential crisis, so A+)
- ✔ Arrival (10/10 This movie blew my mind and made me think about the perspective of...everything. Life. The world. It started out very much like Up, and almost made me cry. Another thing I really liked was how the instrumentals reminded me of Legend of Korra - like the themes of the movie were similar as well. The aliens were simple, the spaceship was simple, but it was effective. The main portion of the movie, learning the language, was VERY cool to me also. It made me want to learn more about language and how it works. I won't spoil the ending fully, but it is mind-blowing. The flashbacks that we've seen are not at all what is expected. We discover the alien's true intentions - to help earth. Humanity. A gift. It changes what we've seen so far.
It's like the aliens are teaching Louise is as to what the movie is trying to teach us - that "Despite knowing the journey... and where it leads... I embrace it... and I welcome every moment of it." How we live our life is up to us, even if we don't know what is going to happen. WHAT A MOVIE HOLY SHMOKES I could literally write a friggin' essay about it and not get tired of it. So interesting! I want to go learn things! This is how I felt after watching "Meet the Robinsons" wanting to go invent things. WOOT WOOT. Also this movie was very beautiful visually in its colors, its opening shot shrouded in mystery as to what we're looking at, the focus. Loved it!)
- ✔ Interstellar (7/10 too much dialogue at the beginning & throughout awkwardly for me but honestly there were quite a few scenes that almost made me cry. The special effects were really cool & overall I really liked this movie)
- ✔ George of the Jungle (6/10 definitely not a "good" movie but very enjoyable and actually had quite a few laugh-out-loud inducing jokes. Brendan Fraser fit this movie quite well needless to say haha. not bad!)
- ✔ Shaolin Soccer (10/10 Just a straight-up masterpiece. It was like Lagaan meets Last Airbender (or something like that). Predictable in its plot but also wholly unpredictable in the events of the movie at the same time. Very enjoyable to watch. Loved it.
- ✔ Napoleon Dynamite (8/10 surprisingly really sweet. It was just as deadpan as my friend told me it'd be, but also had an air of...realness. Like this is probably what it was actually like to be in the 80s in Idaho. Really funny, like just Napoleon's sighs & way of speaking, or just the awkwardness made it hilarious. To-learn: the dance)
- ✔ The Martian (7/10 the most reality tv/documentary-esque drama space movie I've ever seen. Pretty good! Enjoyed the way it was filmed. Pretty colors)

- ✔ The Imitation Game (8/10 made me cry a lot. just recently learned of Alan Turing...music beautiful. ni love kiera knightley. emotional impact is big. true story. powerful. ouch my heart)
- ✔ The Truman Show (8/10 super cool my dude what a story )
