- Daughter of the Deep - Rick Riordan (9/10 You sure this for middle schoolers?? Cause it was pretty intense dang. Liked it a lot though)
- Roadside Picnic - Arkady and Boris Strugatsky (7.5/10 liked but ... felt empty to me in a way. Maybe because of translation? Couldn't feel that tension when they were in the Zone. Awesome ending though - had to look up stuff to fully understand what happened. One of those books where I scour the internet for theories for an hour after finishing it.)
