yes and no animal game

  • supplies:
    • a sheet of paper for each girl, with the name and picture of an animal
    • masking tape
  • object of the game
    • to figure out what animal you are.
  • To start
    • tape an animal to each girl's back. 1 counselor can play. The other goes to a designated spot.
  • to play
    • they are allowed to ask only 'yes' or 'no' questions. You can only ask the person one question, and then have to move on to the next person. If they answer 'I don't know', then you keep asking them different questions until you get yes, no, sometimes, or sort of. They are not allowed to ask if they have correctly guessed their animal. When you think that you know what the animal is, you run to the counselor who is not playing. You ask if you're correct. If you are wrong, you have to wait at that spot for 10 seconds and cannot ask any questions. When that time is up, you can go ask more. The first three people to guess correctly win.

animal naming game

  • supplies:
    • a large ball of yarn
  • object of the game
    • to give each person an animal
  • to start
    • everybody sits in a circle, and one counselor holds the ball of yarn
  • to play
    • The counselor throws it to one person. We decide what animal that person looks like. They wrap it around their hand once and pass it to someone else. You cannot pass it to someone next to you.

Elizabeth's game

  • supplies: none
  • object of the game
    • to find everyone who has the same animal as you
  • to start
    • quietly give each girl an animal. Have them spread out and close their eyes.
  • to play
    • without looking, the girls must act like their animal and try to find their group.
