• I never leave anything plugged in, unless it's the computer or the fridge/freezer
  • I don't drive much and walk when I can
  • I recycle endlessly and try and encourage my family to do it. I actually hover around the bin when I see someone at home putting trash in to see if they are throwing recyclable stuff away
  • I "make do and mend". I'd rather repair a pair of socks than go out and buy a new pair and end up throwing a decent pair away
  • when I'm cleaning out the house I go to great efforts to reycle things that the council don't take away for us, i.e. cables, CD's etc.
  • I don't eat meat, and that's meant to be better for the environment. Somehow.
  • I use the library rather than buying tons of new books
  • I give clothing, jewellery, shoes, accessories, books etc. to charity shops so that they can be re-used by someone else, rather than just throwing them away
  • I spent the best part of a day sorting old old tights that were laddered and past their best, making them into plant ties, cable tidies, storage for hair extensions etc.
  • I make sure I turn lights off that aren't being used
