My top 16 must watch anime
There are a lot os similar list here but some of my favorite animes are never on these lists so I decided to share my personal favorites. This list is going to cover only movies and shor finished stories.
- 16 - Samurai Champloo ← A samurai story with hiphop, awesome fights, awesome cinematography, awesome characters, awesome side-stories and awesome development
- 15 - Bio-booster Armor Guyver ← It is a fine/gore series. Many people compare it to Kamen Rider and Super Sentai (aka the Power rangres) but i like this more.
- 14 - Hells Angels ← This is an anime that you either like or hate there is no middle ground here. The reason why this is in the list is it's unique art stile. Hells goes for a very pencil sketchy look. It workds well in here because they knoe full well how ridiculous the story is.
- 13 - Casshern sins ← This is one of these animes that i don't see in other lists. Casshern Sins is a spin-off of the original Shinzou Ningen casshern wich aired in 1974. It's a show that is not for all people, featuring a pacing that is a lot slower than the pacing of most, but if you happen to like more than a few genres and are able to take things that are a little different from the usual shows, it's definitely worth cheking out
- 12 - Metrópolis ← Metrópolis is fucking gorgeous (Note: I won't write every single thing they say here. I'm tired and i found irrelevant)
- 11 - Summer wars ← "Please tell me you didn't break the internet" This movie is all about games and cyberspace (Note: I won't write every single thing they say here. I'm tired) Perhaps Summer Wars teaches and/or reminds us that family can strecth beyond bloodlines and we all can potentially build unbreakable bonds with total strangers even across the entire world, both real and virtual
- 10 - The girl who leapt through time ← A beautiful story about time travel done right, accompanied with beautiful animation and soundtrack to match
- 9 - Trigun ← Trigun takes place in the distant future on a deserted planet. (Note: I won't write every single thing they say here. It's basically the synopsis) Is funny, heartfelt, filled with great action, fantastic characters a well written story and some decent animation
- 8 - The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ← "Love is nothing but a temporary lapse in judgement. Like a kind of mental disorder". Once upon a time there was a moe schoolgirl, whom was bored to death so she decided to do lots of weird stuff as means to stop being bored. And WHAM we have the all-famous Haruhi, an anime so big it has its own religion...
- 7 - FLCL ← This is not for people that are new to the anime world. It was made by GAINAX a company famous for its psychedelic imagery and stories. I need only one word to describe this anime: insane. It's WTF from the start to finish.
- 6 - Fullmetal alchemist ← A great series and an awesome adventure... It's a series that is completely on par with the original manga and proof that a series doesn't need fidelity to suceed. Should you watch it or brotherhood? I say both, but start with this one. (Note: I don't agree lmao)
- 5 - Heroic age ← This is another fantastic anime I don't see in other lists. Unlike most mecha shows, Heroic Age is not a story about a guy who pilots deus ex machina robot. The show is much like The Lord of the rings in that the story shifts docus among a massive war, spaceship party of travelers and a man who carries the weight of manking. When i say "massive war" i mean hordes of ships flying, fighting and exploding in a glorious, pyrotechnic orgy (Note: why do i think the one writing this is a man...)
- 4 - Hellsing Ultimate ← This is what true vampires should be and what true action/gore series must be. In no way, shape or form is Hellsing anime for children. Every fight scene is amazingly brutal and lots of people end up dying in a myriad of ways. And lets not forget nazi zombies- What more can you want?
- 3 - Studio Gihbli ← Over the last three decades, Miyazaki and his company Studio Ghibli (Note: where's Isao Takahata??) have been behind some of the greatest masterpieces tha animated film have ever seen, strange wonderful pictures that couldn't have come from anywhere or anyone else, and have broken out of love from just the hardcore anime fans to enchant audiences and cinephiles the world over. It doesn't matter which movie you pick they are all amazing
- 2 - Project ARMS ← This is the most underrated anime I've ever seen. The story isn't unique but has many references ti Lewis Carol's works, mainly the Alice in Wonderland books but others as well. I highly recommend this anime
- 1 - Your lie in april ← Your lie in april may have created the "most beautiful lie of all". It comes close, anyway. The animation looks absolutely beautiful, the story is amazing and the soundtrack is by far the BEST i have ever heard. I can't say anything else, got watch it and decide for yourself.
