  • drive the roundtrip 50 or so miles and bring some cash for the toll along the Causeway over Lake Pontchartrain; another option for seeing the lake is Lake Shore Drive
  • it smells like socks but you can't beat the quintessential experience of Café du Monde
  • want to try: do your laundry anytime and get a po boy @ Melba's
