• i'm not otherkin or fictionkin, personally. i tossed the idea around, and i have experiences that would definitely "count" as kin by most peoples' definitions, but i came to the conclusion that labeling myself that way would only exacerbate my identity issues. thinking of my experiences in that way isn't helpful to me, so i don't do it.
• that being said, i don't mind if other people are kin! just pls don't drag me into drama about it
• while i'm okay with kin jokes/assigning kins/etc, please don't tell people that i'm kin? this has happened before, usually to my friends behind my back, and it makes me extremely uncomfortable.
• i am deeply uncomfortable with the trend of calling people "fakes" or otherwise implying that people are faking it. it reminds me too much of the homophobia, transp...

• death threats + suicide baiting are never okay
• fujoshi are generally just women using relationships between two men to examine their own sexualities without having to see themselves in those toxic situations. this does not make their unintentional homophobia okay. these are not mutually exclusive opinions.
• i think that fiction is a means of exploring things in a safe, controlled environment, and that liking something in fiction doesn't necessarily mean condoning it in real life. i also think that this is an issue that mostly affects marginalized + traumatized people, and that we should be sensitive to that fact.
• artists should be allowed to create whatever they please so long as it doesn't hurt any real people in the process of being made.
