girls

  • Adelaide Clara ▹ Ada- Adelaide is a name that I really really love but cannot see myself using. I love it for you too. The nickname Ada isn't as much my think as Addie but it's still cute. I love the name Clara.
  • Anwen Leocadia ▹ Annie- This entire combo is a little too out there for me, but I'm not a very brave namer as you know. I do love the nickname Annie though, I think it's adorable :)
  • Aurora Ceridwen ▹ Aura- I have a lot of trouble saying the name Aurora. I feel like I have marbles in my mouth when I say it, with that said, I still find it very pretty. Aura is a cute nickname too. Ceridwen isn't my think.
  • Beatrice Lark ▹ Birdie- OMG this is so adorable. I have the cutest baby cousin named Beatrice nn Bea and she's made me love it :) Lark is cute too. I love the nickname Birdie as well because it could just be a nickname for Beatrice but then Lark is a bird name, and that is just so clever.
  • Emilia Tempest- Emilia is so so gorgeous, and I adore it. I can totally see you with an Emilia. Tempest isn't really my thing because I don't find the meaning very good (I used to be TERRIFIED of storms).
  • Estella Violet- Estella is so beautiful. Estella from Great Expectations is like my favorite literary character ever, she's an awesome heartless cold bitch. Violet is beautiful too and I love the V initial in the middle, I just think that's cool
  • Genevieve Illyria ▹ Eve- Genevieve is SO gorgeous, I've always always loved this name since I first heard it when I made a friend at age 3 named Genevieve. Eve is an adorable nickname too. Illyria isn't my thing, but it makes a cool middle.
  • Helena Poem ▹ Nell- Love the name Helena, with both the hell-en-uh and hel-ay-nuh pronunciations :) The nickname Nell is cute as well. (I was almost Helen nn Nell so I have a bit of a soft spot for it.) Poem makes a cool middle.
  • Iris Desdemona- Iris is just so beautiful, I love Iris in Greek Mythology :) I also love the flowers. Desdemona again isn't my thing but makes a good middle.
  • Josephine Delta ▹ Jovie- Josephine is so beautiful. It's cute and old fashioned. When I gave blood a while ago I had a nurse named Josephine "Jo" who helped me when I fainted so I think of her, and it makes me happy because she was so sweet. Jovie is a cute, creative nickname. I really like Delta but I'm not brave enough to ever use it.
  • Lena Temperance- Lena is really cute. I like the LAY-nuh pronunciation best with this spelling, and the LEE-nuh pronunciation with Lina. Temperance is such an awesome name, it reminds me of the show Bones
  • Lillian Aradia ▹ Lily- I've always liked the name Lillian :) It's so classy and beautiful, and I love the nickname Lily. I like the uncommonness of Aradia balances out the knownness of Lillian.
  • Marina Persis ▹ Masha- Marina is a name I have always found beautiful. I first heard it on an episode of I Didn't Know I was Pregnant (don't judge) and I've loved it since then. Peresis isn't my thing and neither is Masha but both are cool.
  • Ophelia River- I think Ophelia is really cool and I love the letter O :)I like that the grandness of Ophelia is balanced out with the more masculine River.
  • Penelope Willow ▹ Pepper- Ah Penelope, how I love you! I've always loved this name with the nickname Poppy but Pepper is really cute and creative. I love the Iron Man connection to Pepper. Willow is so adorable and if William wasn't my top boy name then Willow would probably be on my list
  • Rosalind Tinúviel- Rosalind is beautiful. I really love most Ros- names, and though this one isn't my favorite, I still really like it. Tinúviel really isn't my thing.
  • Theodora Juno ▹ Teddy- Theodora is just perfect. I've always thought it was cute with the nickname Thea but I like the idea of Teddy as well (it reminds me of _Grey's Anatomy_). Juno is an awesome middle name though it does remind me of the movie Juno. (Though Ellen Page= AWESOME so it's not a bad connection)

boys

  • Arthur Samwise- Arthur is adorable. I've always thought it was perfectly old-manish for a little boy, though again, I'm completely unbrave when it comes to names, so I love seeing others use it. Samwise isn't my thing
  • August Evander ▹ Gus- August was one of my favorite names for a really long time in the beginning of high school. And OMG Gus! I love Gus sooooo much! Seriously! Love it! (that was a lot of exclamation points). I love the name Evander cool.
  • Benedict Asa ▹ Ben- Benedict isn't my thing, I just don't find it very attractive sounding. I love the nickname Ben though. Asa is adorable, and I'm a sucker for palindrome names (my top name is Anna).
  • Caspian Luca- Caspian and August were my top names for so long in grade 9 (I used to be brave, lol) and I still really like it. I like the Narnia and Prince Caspian connection as well. Luca is so adorable. If I marry and Italian dude, my boy will be named Luca.
  • Dexter Atticus- Dexter is super adorable. It reminds me of Dexter's Laboratory (did y'all have that in the UK?). I like the nickname Dex too. Atticus reminds me of Atticus Finch, 'nough said.
  • Edmund Leo ▹ Ned- Edmund is so adorable. I used to want kids named Edmund and Hugo after Narnia and this random restaurant that I love in Chicago (hey, insperation can come from anywhere right?). I find that Edmund sounds super sophisticated and I while I like the nickname Ned I prefer Ted. Leo is adorable!
  • Ezra Phineas- Ezra is one of those names that I really like for someone else's child. I could see you using Ezra. Phineas isn't really my thing, it reminds me of Phineas and Ferb which is nauseating/
  • Henry Amadeus- I have always loved the name Henry, and it's always on and off my list. Amadeus is really cool and it reminds me of Mozart :)
  • Jasper Leopold- The name Jasper has been growing on me lately. I don't think I will ever love it, but I do now like it. Leopold is so cool, use it because I could never get the courage to.
  • Julian Emrys ▹ Jude- Julian is a name I've always found adorable. Jude is so cute and it was my top name for a while too (I went though a lot of top names). Emrys is eh to me, not awful but not my thing.
  • Lucian Elias- Lucian sounds evil to me, don't ask me why, but it does. Elias is adorable, and I love the nickname Eli (my #3 boys name). Would you consider Elias Lucian?
  • Lysander Thorin- Lysander reminds me of salamanders :P Thorin is okay, not my thing
  • Maxen Oscar ▹ Max- I prefer Macson nn Mac but Maxen is cute as well. I love the name Oscar. It reminds me of the actor Oscar Isaac, who is awesome and I might have a little weird crush on.
  • Roman Elisha- Roman is another name I used to love and I find really cool. I prefer the name Rowan or Ronan more now, but Roman is still cool. Elisha isn't my think, I don't love the sh sound in names very much.
  • Sebastian Hugo ▹ Sasha- Sebastian is a name that I have been seeing a lot lately. I really like it but have trouble seeing it on a teenager/adult, I can only really see it on a little boy. Sasha I really like (of course as soon as I say I don't like the sh sound in names you find the one that I do). Hugo is adorable, and see Edmund for a story on it.
  • Stanley Théoden- Stanley reminds me of two things. Flat Stanley (not sure if you have him in the UK, if not google him) and Stan Lee. I'm just not really feeling it, though I do like the nickname Stan. Théoden is a name I find really cool but would never use.
  • Thomas Peregrin- I love the name Thomas so so much and it makes me SO sad that I cannot use it (I have two uncles named Tom). I can picture Thomas on anyone of any age. Peregrin makes me think of wine, I don't have any idea why, but it does, not that wine is a bad thing.
