this is very late, but while i'm waiting for my washing to both wash and dry, i thought i'd write up my opinions on the album. finally! it's actually a good thing because i've had a loooooong time to keep this album on repeat and give each song a good listen.

• 01. green light - 9.5/10

i love this song. so much. it's really something i'd bop to in a club. i love the way jun says "it's gonna be a bumpy ride". i also like aiba's little bit in the next verse but i can't figure out what he's saying LMAO. it's good anyway. this is a really boppy song.

• 02. tsunagu - 10/10

i remember not liking this song at all when it came out..i was like, why is arashi singing a song with such a cowboy-sounding melody in the background? but then it grew on me like crazy. very, very good. and also goes with ohno's movie very well. i love the part in the second verse where nino and aiba sing together. there's something so great about it. highlight of the song for me.

• 03. mikan - 10/10

OH HOW DESPERATELY I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS SONG A HIGHER RATING!!! IF POSSIBLE!! GREATEST SONG FROM ARASHI I'VE HEARD IN A WHILE. the pv? not so great. BUT THE SONG??? QUALITY A+++++ i lost my shit when i first heard it on nino's baystorm. aiba's voice. nino's voice. THE WAY THEY SAY "THERE IS NO TURNING BACK, THERE IS NO GOING BACK, THAT IS WHAT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED" IS THE ACTUAL SHIT. i'm losing it just talking about it. i remember saying it sounded like a circus when i first heard it...lmao. also. ALSO. "I'M RUNNING IN THE LIGHT NOW". also. "HIBIKE RELEASE MY SOUL". so many favourite parts. i also like the classical breakdown in the middle before sho's rap. i also fucking love the way nino says "i'm running in the light now". jfc. i'm done. awesome, awesome song. i've been waiting for this and i didn't even know it.

• 04. sugar - 9.5/10

this one took a while to grow on me but once it did, fuck, i couldn't get it off repeat. there's something about this song...sho's voice is especially sexy. i have many favourite parts that do things to me. the way jun says "no way out" just before ohno's high notes leading up to the chorus...the way nino says "there's nothing i can do"........so many good points. and it's catchy as hell too. very, very good. nino can get himself fucked btw. the way he says "isso tsubuyaku flashback" or something REALLY fucks me up. DHJKDASHJKDHJKAHD

• 05. power of the paradise - 10/10

i still have no idea what this is doing here, but it remains a great song. v empowering!

• 06. ari no mama de - 4/10

this is one of the few songs i haven't listened to much...because i know it's very generic. i've got it on now and i don't like how light and sugary it is LMAO. yeah don't like much. filler song?

• 07. fuuun - 9/10

arashi returning to their rock roots in 2017. i love it. it reminds me of a mix of rock tonight, gorimuchuu and confusion. it's awesome! really fun.

• 08. i'll be there - 8.5/10

i like this song a lot...but it's very aristocratic. not my type of song but i appreciate it for aiba's drama theme and it's catchy. nice!

• 09. houyou - 8.5/10

honestly, i liked this song initially. it was one of my immediate favourites. now i'm listening to it and i'm like....why? hmm. it's a bit of a mystery. but it's still a decent one.

• 10. pray - 5/10

this is one of the other ones i haven't listened to....very slow and calm and all that. i can't really listen to it that much when there's other bangers on the album LOL.

• 11. hikari - 9/10

first of all this song reminds me of a song that's sung in the church during hymn time or something, when everyone needs a moral boost. like PRAISE THE LORD or whatever. BUT IT'S SUCH A NICE SONG! i love it, weirdly. and i'm forever not over nino's beautiful opening. fuck you nino.

THIS SONG IS NICE WHEN I'M IN A GLUM MOOD BUT IT'S TOO LONG AND THE INTRO IS FREAKISHLY LENGTHY AND DISNEY-LIKE. I CANNOT

• 01. bazuri night (ohno, sho, aiba) - 10/10

an official jam. anime. I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH. their harmony is just great too......i had no idea. i love this so much sajhdjkahdjkashdjkash. i especially love the way they say "nin, nin, nin" and "gyoi, gyoi, gyoi" and all that. also 'sasuga desu' lol. GENKAIIIII!!!!!!! ZETTAIIIII!!!!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH I CANT EXPLAIN

• 02. yoru no kage (ohno, nino, jun) - 9/10

i really want to love this song as a whole..and it's great, don't get me wrong. but the disjointed r&b tryhard vibe is a little bit EH. i can't love the whole thing. but i very very very much appreciate their voices. particularly nino's. holy crap. the way he kind of growls "can't get enough" towards the end................help

• 03. ub (nino/aiba) - 10/10

the duet i've been waiting for from these two. absolutely beautiful. never mind that they may be singing about their together time in a bathroom. i fucking love it. their harmony is on point. i'm in love

• 04. come back (sho/jun) - 1.5/10

these two can get fucked if they thought this song was worthy of putting on an album, tbh. i'm done. and sho i am severely disappointed in you i'm SORRY

• 05. kanpai song - 10/10

this is the ultimate arashi song. i'm so in love with it. i love their speaking parts towards the end. i love the way aiba says "JAA BIRU HITO? HAIIII". it's such a....like, it cheers you up immensely. such an arashi song, as i said. it really gets you going. I LOVE
