unless making bread or pastries, don't turn on oven to pre-heat.
only launder with a full load, and on cold/warm
go vegetarian once a week - it requires 2500 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef
air dry clothes
use freecycle.org to give away free stuff/etc
use rechargeable batteries
stop paper bank statements
reusable, strong grocery bags
use cardboard matches instead of lighters
cut down on junk mail (thereby emissions)
recycle unwanted wire hangers at dry cleaners
