    - If I were a month, I'd be December, just when true winter has begun. 
- If I were a day of the week, I'd be Saturdays with math competitions. 
- If I were a time of day, I'd be when the sky's pitch black enough to see the stars. 
- If I were a planet, I'd be Pluto.  Yes, it is still a true planet in this heart. 
- If I were a sea animal, I'd be a mermaid who spends her days and nights floating and whose clear eyes can't stray from the sky above. 
- If I were a direction, I'd be due, due north. 
- If I were a piece of furniture, I'd be a fancy writing desk. 
- If I were a historical figure, I'd be ? 
- If I were a liquid, I'd be satisfyingly sweet tea. 
- If I were a gemstone, I'd be a pearl. 
- If I were a tree, I'd be a weeping willow.  Or something with branches that blend into the little owl it's hiding. 
- If I were a tool, I'd be a gardening spade, the paint of its red handle chipped from use. 
- If I were a flower, I'd be a rose, fully bloom and blushing a light pink. 
- If I were a kind of weather, I'd be overcast skies. 
- If I were a musical instrument, I'd be a beautiful grand piano. 
- If I were a color, I'd be mint green. 
- If I were an emotion, I'd be the feeling of being touched, to the point of tears, by some signficant literary passage. 
- If I were a fruit, I'd be baked pears drowning in vanilla ice cream. 
- If I were a sound, I'd be piano keys being played by Miss Georgiana Darcy. Or that satisfying weight of silence. 
- If I were an element, I'd be aluminium. 
- If I were a car, I'd be a dark red pick-up truck. 
- If I were a food, I'd be crêpes filled with Nutella and sweet whipped cream.  Or the perfect cheesecake with no cracks or blemishes. 
- If I were a place, I'd be a blushing Paris, all dolled-up for Christmas with fairy lights and a dusting of snowflakes. 
- If I were a material, I'd be velvet or hand-knit lace. 
- If I were a taste, I'd be tooth-achingly sweet. 
- If I were a scent, I'd be cinnamon or the musty smell of old books. 
- If I were an object, I'd be a statue that makes a young writer wonder. 
- If I were a body part, I'd be the hands of a pianist. 
- If I were a facial expression, I'd be an unsure smile. 
- If I were a song, I'd be either "Some Things Are Meant To Be" or "Flight," both sung by Sutton Foster and Megan McGinnis.
