i'm going to be 21 (damn) this summer and this is what i learn through the journey:
- not everyone likes you; there are things that you can control and things that fall beyond your control. if someone hates you, let them be.
- cloud is the hardest object to paint
- lavender-scented candle is both lively and lovely
- august by taylor swift
- some people don't want life satisfaction, sometimes all they want is accepting and embracing what life has to offer them and that's okay
- be a little less afraid helps (most of the time it does)
- the most important thing i learned in preschool psychology class is probably that children see this world in a completely different point of view from adults—find ways in which only they can imagine before you try to understand them
- everybody starts somewhere: run your own race
- i unconsciously keep counting my age as 18+x because i feel like my life has both started and ended at 18 (this year would be 18+3!)
- rejection doesn't define my self-worth
- it's okay if you're not yet sure where is life taking you
- sometimes i just need comfortable bedsheets and everything will be okay
- i've started wondering if maybe my fear of uncertainity and changes are like something that keeps me grounded
update: i was hoping i could finish this list but i didn't (that's okay we will always learn no matter what age we are)
