- maintain vehicle -properly cleaned means less pollution and saving gas

- picnic with markers (guests can mark their cups)
- always turn off incandescent lightbulbs after leaving the room, or invest in a higher-end system
- each degree celsius of thermostat saves 10% in energy use - or invest in a programmable thermostat
- recycle glass b/c it takes a million years to decompose and will save associated pollution
- always make a shopping list in advance
- keep track of trash and adjust food purchases accordingly
- expiration dates refer to quality not safety
