if i were writing a story about betsy, these are the details i might include (based purely on supposition and perhaps my own imagination, haha....)
- she has a uniform of straight-legged jeans and band shirts
- she doesn't generally wear make-up, but when she does it seems like there's a reason. i'm not sure that it's a matter of insecurity, more like a sense of importance in the situation
- the emotions of others can affect how she feels about a instance-positively or negatively. it's not really an adoption of others opinions, but rather an osmosis of their feelings and a sympathy for it
- she seems more comfortable with guys, but if you know her well enough, you get to see a girly side
- she's quiet when she's tired or has just woken up
- she is good at memorizing lines from movies and songs and can trot them out at will
- sometimes she sort of plays with the skin around her nails when she is thinking, concentrating, or maybe even nervous
- you can tell that music is important to her because if it's not playing in the background, she is singing. and if she isn't singing, she's jiggling her foot in time to the music in her head
- she has her own opinions, and you can't change them. only she can
- she has really adopted her ancestory and especially her father's past, and integrated that into her life
- she doesn't drink very often, but when she does, is fairly picky about the kind of alcohol being offered. sticks close to her irish roots in this area
- wants to make a difference in the world, and is saddened by the lack of moral and environmental fiber of others; especially those in power
- judges the actions of others
- she is sensitive to her parent's problems
- in general, she doesn't hold grudges against people forever, both whom she knows and whom she doesn't know, and is open to new ideas and concepts about them
- drives a manual
- she needs time to herself and can't hang around the same person all the time
- values experience
- she is more interested in reading scholarly essays, historic accounts, etc. than fictional literature at times
- wants to help people most of the time
- upfront and bold, she has the initiative to talk to people about problems when it's absolutely necessary, but is usually unconfrontational when something isn't working
- has a different laugh for when something is merely humorous and for when something is really funny to her
