strange people i've encountered and seen in public

• Ducky-a Best Buy employee that talked for at least twenty minutes about the new iPods and how great "Rainbow warranties" are and how he can select any picture he wants as an MP3 player background. His nametag seriously said "Ducky."
• Victor Vazquez-this is a fabricated name made up by a friend and myself. He was a bald, dark glasses and grey skinning pants wearing book browser at Barnes & Noble. He was casually looking around the store in close proximity to my friend and me. He either had something in his pocket or a very prominent hard-on. My friend and I would like to think it was the latter.
• Ernest Gaulingeer-another fabricated name. This man was at a train station on the way to Chicago. Ernest was a squat old man who wore several different shirts. He had on a spandex looking tank top, a red bandanna, and a blue plaid shirt over everything. He got the station to start singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and started explaining his qualms with the public transportation system to my father. He was very upset about how cheap it used to be for him to travel.
• At the mall, I saw a crew of college aged kids in very elaborate costumes. They looked like circus dropouts or something.
• Herman Swinzhead: strange guy on the Light Rail
• Schoolhouse Sarah: the thwacked out worker at Schoolhouse Exchange. Constantly goes to the back for "inventory," and steps outside for an unpredictable smoke break
• Entire staff of Salvador Deli: the toothless lady, who I dub "Flo," moves chip bags from one end of the store to the other. The other scrappy character with a long nose and hair that is never the same length twice.
• Don: a New Yorker expatriate that now haunts the city lights counter between 6:30-7:30. great guy.
• Brett Pletzer: a big sweaty guy with star wars shirts on CARTA. often reading bradbury or engaging a brother in conversation.
• Tony P: A eucharistic minister at St. Philip Neri. He looks a lot like Eddie Izzard in Mystery Men.
