- Libros del Pasaje-bookstore in Palermo, on Thames
- Neighborhoods: San Telmo (on Sundays, of course, but also go during the week), Palermo Soho, Palermo Viejo, Barracas (near La Boca)
- Plaza Serrano-awesome at night
- Hippodrome/polo fields in Palermo
- Oui Oui-on Nicaragua in Palermo usually a line-it's worth it
- Las Violetas
- Bar 6 in Palermo
- Ocho7Ocho-on Thames 878
- Mark's Deli in Palermo-simply amazing, great service a really nice treat since everywhere else the service is awful!
- Take tours of the Casa Rosada and the Congreso
- Feria de Mataderos
- Parque Tres de Febrero-rent a rickshaw type thing/paddle boat/have a picnic!
- Get gelato at Freddo as much as you can-there's also Persicco, but it's not nearly as good
- Take a tango class
- Carlitos-on Guido in Recoleta-great burgers
- La Olla de Felix on Juncal 1693 in Recoleta
- Go see the Madres de la Plaza de Mayo march at 3 pm on Thursdays in front of the Casa Rosada
- Take the Buquebus to Uruguay
- Go to Terrazas (their after office on Wednesdays if fun)-after office is on Wednesdays and it just means that they close at 1 or 2 am instead of 8 am or whatever
- Try mate
- Olsen-on Gorriti in Palermo Sunday brunch lasts all day!
- Eat these as much as you can: medialunas, empanadas, choripan, provoleta
- Stock up on phone cards once you get your cell phone because minutes run out fast!
- Maru Botana-cafe/dessert place run by a famous Argentine chef-really cute place, great desserts. It's on Suipacha.
- Vasalissa Chocolatier-beautiful chocolate store on Callao.
- Bomba de Tiempo-at the Ciudad Cultural Konex. That venue has other concerts and events too.
- Try to also find random Carnival parades going on around the city too!
- And if you like watching tennis, the Copa Claro tournament is going on (you've probably seen billboards for it). It's pretty awesome and much more fun than the Family Circle Cup or other tournaments in the states because the crowd really gets into it. The tickets aren't expensive at all-I went to the finals and I think tickets were $25 (100 pesos). You can get tickets on the website through ticketek then pick them up at the Hard Rock by the Recoleta cemetery.
- Zoo de Lujan! You can pet tigers and feed elephants! It's also kind of a fun journey to get there. We took the bus (a really comfortable one that leaves from around Plaza Italia) to the Lujan city center then a cab from there to the zoo. The cathedral in Lujan is great too.
