colors of the universe

• early morning walks to the bus stop when the sky is bright grey and the glowing orange orbs of the lampposts shine against green and amber leaves
• the divergence of the paths of knotted sepia and sienna and burnt umber branches where they split off from the trunk of a tree
• the way the midday autumn light shines through my half-drawn pale peach-orange curtains
• walking in the mall's parking lot during evening when the ivory moon hangs in the deep blue sky on the left and the sky is a gradation of pale orange to blue on the right
• Julia's eyes- crystal blue and periwinkle framed with long maize lashes
