Actually identify on;
--
∆ I was born into a Catholic family, I even received communion, but after that, I was going stopped going to church. Since childhood, words spoken by priests and nuns caused me internal conflict; half of it made no sense. Other things came into play in contrast to what I saw others doing; overall, it was all hypocrisy. Jesus' commandments weren't followed by most, especially "love your neighbor as yourself". Everyone there hated someone for no reason, and so, everyone hates each other on some level?
∆ When studying other religions, things were conflicting, while at the same time there were teachings that were always repeated, most of them spoke of the basics; Do not kill, do not hate, do not betray, etc.Basic moral principles that every human being should follow, with or without religion.
∆ Many religions don't appeal to me because they are too anthropocentric. I don't think we should worship and do (bad) things in the name of a "sun god," but...I am like mostly that religions/philosophies in which nature is central and should be respected.There is no quality in human lives if you ignore everything else around you. That being said, I am totally against acts of animal sacrifice (killing).
