• mowing the lawn and pulling weeds
• fast food
• artificial sweeteners
• fake fingernails
• living in an old house that is being restored
• washing dishes (although I do it anyway)
• women who make disparaging comments about other women they don't even know
• living in North Carolina
• doctors ('cause they all wanted me to kill my thyroid with radioactive iodine)
• people who declaw their kitty cats
• people who chain their dogs, or otherwise keep them confined to a small area

this is a short list but hopefully it hasn't ended, and thankfully I've traveled a lot...

  • Kyle and his brother Pea were my first cats after years of traveling with my job.
  • After Pea was killed by a car I tried to make Kyle and indoor kitty but he was miserable so he goes outside part of the day, but never at night.
  • He's a good hunter and leaves presents for me by the back steps.
  • He tolerates the other cats, but doesn't really like them very much, and when stray cats come into the yard he chases them off.

• Little Kitty - long haired gray and white (photo). She was abandoned by the neighbors that lived behind us. After her last litter of kittens in April 2005 (and who knows how many she had) I got her spayed and now she lives in the back yard. She's always lived outside, and stays in the back yard.
• Bow Tie Kitty - as his name implies, he's black with a white spot on his chest, a short haired kitty. I've been feeding him for several years, but he's never let me touch him. I don't know where he hangs out or sleeps, and sometimes he has injuries so I put antibiotics in his food. I treat him for fleas and worms with Capstar and Panacur, also in his food. I always worry about him, especially when he doesn't show up for his dinner.

• Sweet Pea (aka Pea, Pea Katty, P Renoir) - long haired tuxedo kitty.
  • his mom cat came to the neighborhood with some neighbors, but they didn't take care of her so she hung out in my yard and i fed her and played with her (read about KitKat).
  • she had 3 kittens on my sofa and Pea was one of them.
  • Pea was my favorite kitten right from the start. he was smart and a really good boy.
  • when we got Violet as a tiny, sick kitten, Pea raised her as his own, took care of her and taught her how to groom.
  • Violet loved Pea.
  • Pea spent most of his time inside but occasionally he would go outside with me.
