I never thought a musical could change my life. I already loved Hamilton, but Epic: The Musical is one of the best things I’ve ever discovered. Since I was little, I’ve been passionate about Greek mythology—I’m a woman who grew up with Percy Jackson, followed his entire journey, read The Odyssey because I loved the world Rick created and adored Greek gods and heroes. Epic was the missing piece.

I’ve consumed books, comics, podcasts, movies, games, cartoons, and series, but I had never experienced a full musical before. Odysseus’ story and his entire journey back to Ithaca in this musical changed the chemistry of my brain forever. There’s a "me" before and after Epic: The Musical.

Sagas - Act I "The Troy Saga"

  • The Horse and the Infant - is the first song of The Troy Saga and the opening number to EPIC: The Musical. It takes place during the battle of Troy and serves as a peek into Odysseus' character, demonstrating his ability to be both a commanding leader and a merciful human being. ★★★★✰
  • Just a Man - is the second song of The Troy Saga when Odysseus sings his heart to the child, Astyanax. He sings about wanting to return home, his guilt over the lives he has taken, and the price he fears he must pay for it. ★★★★★ (fav ♥)
  • ( Full Speed Ahead ) [is the third song of The Troy Saga, which takes place as Odysseus and his crew sail across the sea on their journey home. Along the way, they must search for a place to hunt for food to feed the 600 men onboard. ★★★★✰
  • Open Arms - In this song, Polites tries to convince Odysseus to live life with open arms and show others a little more trust. ★★★✰✰
  • Warrior of the Mind - the fifth and final song of The Troy Saga where Athena reminds Odysseus that he must close off his heart and follow her teachings as he is the 'Warrior of The Mind'. The song also has a flashback to the past when Odysseus and Athena first met and she became his mentor. ★★★★★
