- Don’t hit them
- Expose them to culturally different people and places
- Read to them and let them read to me
- Listen to them
- Enroll them in art/music lessons
- Enroll them in sports (most probably soccer)
- Don’t fight with their father in front of them
- Don’t spoil them
- Don’t impose my religious beliefs. I’ll let them decide for themselves.
- Take pictures of everything
- Let them choose their own clothes for themselves
- Don’t tell them that Santa Clause, The Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc. aren’t real
- Always have pets around
- Cook and bake with them
- Don't compare them to other kids
- Don’t let them use the computer at a young age
- Buy them books and help them discover a love for reading
- Limit their television viewing
- Share my wisdom to them
- Let my parents help us raise them up too
- Teach them that in order to be respected, they must respect others
- Teach them good-breeding
- Teach them French (something I want to learn but never had a chance to) besides the three other languages I already know
- Let them dress themseleves
