- the fairy prince becomes a changeling to stay with her

- they have a magical quest to prove that they deserve to live
Eight Hours
- the story is set in a narrow window (eight hours)
- it's written in the perspectives of four different people over the course of that time, all residing in the same city
- the story is a disjointed narrative that does not occur chronologically
- the story starts with a teenage girl (one of the narrator's) suicide
- the punch line is they're all the same person
- the story is of all the people she wishes she was and all the things she wishes she could say, but how her anxiety, self-esteem, and perception of societal norms got in the way
- the epilogue is her funeral where everybody says how they already saw her the way she thought she could never be
- it's a tragedy
