- I can’t believe I’m in a job where we work such silly hours, especially when I look back at how lazy I used to be!
- so we’ve each got a Guinness World Records plaque. When I used to go to the library as a kid, the Guinness Book of World Records was always the book I’d take home with me. And now we’re in it! The plaque is up in my toilet!

- People have said that, because we’re a boy band, the music doesn’t need to be our number-one priority – but for us it really is. It’s so important that it’s right and that we’re involved in every step of the process – that really matters to us. We would never rely on our image and put out an album that we didn’t all love and feel proud of.
- We don’t have any strict pre-gig rituals, but we do huddle together every night and say some words that mean a lot to us… But generally what we say is a bit rude, inappropriate and funny.
- I think I would have liked to go to uni for a year or so, but I think three years would have been pushing it!
- The one thing I always take with me is a hat, in case I’m having a bad hair day.
- One time, when we were in France, Liam and I were bored so we snuck out of the dressing room. Our tour manager, Paul, thought we were safe and sound in the room, but we found a fire exit. Then we took a photo of ourselves standing in front of a big group of fans – and texted it to him. He panics enough about us as it is, without us doing anything, so we were in stitches, but for some reason he didn’t find it all that funny.
- We’re not very rock and roll when it comes to our dressing room, though. Other bands totally trash theirs, but we usually end up having food fights…
- We’re still just five normal lads; we’re not divas at all.
- We’ve loved going to the BRITs the last two years. It’s such a buzz, you get such nice food and you sit with some of the biggest stars in the world.
- Zayn and I both do a lot of sleeping, though, so we sometimes miss things.
- NIALL: I’m not getting any tattoos for the moment. I want the 1D logo on my bum, but I don’t know if I’ll actually get it or not. It’s the one I keep saying I’ll get if I do decide to get one.

- Harry: I reckon me or Zayn are the most chilled out. I’ve got a pretty morbid voice, so I always sound calm even if I’m not.
