- While my mother was pregnant with me, she dreamed of a dragon. Although the doctor told her I would be a girl, my mother insisted I'd be a boy.
- When I managed to climb out of my crib, I fell to the floor with only a thud. This both fascinated and scared my mother.
- In fact, I hardly cried as a baby.
- Because of this, my mother's friends would pinch me and disturb my naps just to hear what I sounded like.
- I never got sick or had to be hospitalized.
- I was a painfully shy toddler. I would hide under my mom's skirt when strangers approached me. I sat in a corner and cried on my first day of pre-K.
- Jealous of my baby sister, I would steal and drink her bottle of juice.
- I would "perform surgery" on my baby sister despite her protest.
- Thinking the border of money was ugly, I cut them off in kindergarten.
- Even the slightest scold from a teacher would make my eyes water.
- I was a bully to boys. I kicked every boys' ankles in my third grade class.
- Wanting to impress during a kickball game, I overexerted myself to the point of fainting and vomiting.
- Wishing I was a boy, I had everyone call me "Crys". I still prefer this name, actually.
- I had up to ten crushes at a time.
- Escalators and ferris wheels absolutely petrified me.
- In fifth grade, I started my own pamphlet, complete with gossip, polls, interviews, astrology, and opinions on assignments.
- I was a safety patrol. While stationed in the kindergarten hall, I grew especially attached to a little girl who always asked me to play or read her stories.
