finally got to go to the blink-182 concert in toronto! :')

  • i bought the tickets on pre-sale in november, so i've been waiting a long time for the actual concert.
  • i was really nervous because being around a lot of people always makes me feel a bit anxious, but it all turned out great.
  • i also got to see pierce the veil, which was cool. we were on the floor near the pit so the sound and bass was PALPABLE. it was great.
  • i went with my brother who isn't a punk rock/metal/emo/post-hardcore fan at all, but i am, so i was vibing.
  • i felt kinda bad he had to endure the hard drums and screaming of alexisonfire while waiting for blink LOL
    • i'm a huge fan of blink, and for him it was kind of a trip down memory lane because of their old hits from EOTS and TOYPAJ where as i like them all and can sing all the lyrics.
  • i'm proud of myself bc even though i had an aperol spritz, a shot of raspberry vodka, and a vodka soda, i wasn't tipsy or drunk (which i'm glad i wasn't because i'm on meds that i shouldn't rlly drink on) and i was still having such a blast, dancing and singing.
    • normally i'd be too socially anxious to dance and sing in front of people but everyone around me was doing the same so it was super easy to not care and just have fun.
  • i wish i was able to explore around the city and check out the cafes and shoppes, but alas, at least i didn't have to go alone or worse, not go at all.
  • so it's cool that the only two concerts i've ever been to have been for blink, and they were both in august, approximately 15 years apart
