Literally, just as the title says -- me being nitpicky about things I see from various different fandoms. This is a list literally just for me to get minor things that really don't matter off my chest.

My Hero Academia

• Boku No Hero Academia
  • Okay, so I can understand why people do this -- because they think it's just the correct way to say / write it. It's actually not, though, because it's just mixing English and Japanese romaji for no apparent reason.
  • boku means "I," "my," etc.
  • no is a particle with a wide range of use, but is primarily used to connect nouns (such as "myself" and "academy" together.
  • hero, with an "e," is ENGLISH. It's actually hiro, with an "i."
  • There is no direct translation of "academia" in Japanese, which is why you see the five katakana symbols of the title towards the end (because katakana is used for foreign words).
    • You would write it as akademia, with a "k," and no it isn't pronounced the same.
  • Japanese pronunciation is actually very simple, although the "r" sound can trip people up sometimes (it sounds a bit like you're combining the English "r" and "d")
    • The whole phrase is pronounced boh-coo no he-(d)roh ah-kah-deh-me-ah. Boku no hiro akademia. 僕のヒーローアカデミア
  • Reason why I'm nitpicking:
    • What's the point of changing the sentence to only partial Japanese? If you're going to say / write it by its proper title, you might as well go all the way.
